OVERVIEW
The 21 Day Three Area Plains Game Package visits three of the prime hunting areas in South Africa, namely the Limpopo bushveld, the eastern Free State as well as the Eastern Cape. The package includes twelve of the most sought-after plains game trophies in South Africa. It is a package aimed at the serious plains game hunter who has the time to enjoy an extensive hunting experience in South Africa. Our hunting packages contain no hidden costs. The only safari-related costs which are not included are the dipping, packing and shipping of trophies and taxidermy work.
DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1 :ARRIVAL BUSHVELD
You will be met and welcomed upon arrival at OR Tambo International by your professional hunter or hunters, who will be holding a sign with your name on it as you enter the arrivals lounge. From here the safari travels to the hunting camp, which is located in the bushveld. The afternoon is devoted to sighting of rifles and, time permitting, the first afternoon hunt.

DAY 2-7 : HUNTING BUSHVELD
These days are devoted to hunting in the bushveld. The area is characterized by wooded savanna in varying degrees of density, ranging from densely wooded ravines to rolling hills and open savanna areas. This region supports a large diversity of mammal species and is generally regarded as one of South Africa’s finest hunting areas.
Species which are available in the Limpopo Bushveld area include:

DAY 14 : FREE STATE TO EASTERN CAPE
After breakfast, we make our way to OR Tambo International Airport for a flight to Port Elizabeth. The drive from the Free State to the airport is about three hours while the flight from Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth is approximately one and a half hours. From here we make our way to the hunting camp, which is located an hour’s drive to the north of Port Elizabeth. The late afternoon is spent relaxing.

DAY 15-20 : HUNTING EASTERN CAPE
The days are spent hunting the Eastern Cape. This area receives increased rainfall as one moves from west to east where it is bordered by the Indian Ocean. To the west lies the Karoo, which is a semi-arid type desert land. Most of the area is hilly and some portions are quite mountainous. The climate can be varied, with frosty winters and hot summers in the western reaches of the province. To the east, rainfall is more plentiful with higher humidity and a more sub-tropical climate along the coast. All of the popular plains game species can be found in the Eastern Cape, including a few not found in other areas.

DAY 21 : DEPARTURE
A last morning spent in the African wilderness is followed by a flight to Johannesburg from where we make our way to the Golden Safaris office in Pretoria. Some time devoted to paperwork is followed by a late lunch after which guests are transferred back to the airport, where their memorable African hunting safari comes to an end.
